Job Description and DutiesThe EDD, Document Management Division (DMD), is searching for a motivated, skilled, and challenge‑seeking individual who enjoys innovation, problem solving, and is interested in working with an exciting team of professionals in a fast‑paced production environment. Under the direction of the Document Management Section (DMS) Supervisor II, the Supervisor I serves as the group supervisor whose responsibilities include planning, organizing, and directing the activities of the Document Management Group (DMG).
The group is responsible for receipt, sorting, and opening of incoming mail; and preparation of opened remittance and non‑remittance work items for further processing including imaging and data capturing activities performed in the office.
The group supervisor ensures that these activities are completed in a timely and accurate manner as the group’s processing serves as the basis for payment of benefits, timely identification and billing of employer and claimant accounts receivable, and the refund of over‑payments related to Unemployment Insurance, Disability Insurance, Employment Training, and Personal Income Tax Withholding.
In the absence of the Banking and Scanning Group (BSG) Supervisor I, the incumbent may also assist with processing daily bank deposits of tax and benefit recovery remittances; and provide guidance to the BSG supervisors and staff.
The incumbent must have strong organizational and communication abilities (written and verbal) to support the EDD’s mission, vision, values, and business priorities.
This position is conveniently located near Rancho Cordova and offers free parking and a variety of nearby restaurants.
This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule under Government Code 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California. Position located at 9815 Goethe Road, Sacramento, CA 95827 (Near Bradshaw Road and Hwy 50).
Effective July 1, 2025, specific Bargaining Units and associated Excluded State employees are subject to a salary reduction between 2 % – 4.62 % in exchange for hours in the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) per month.
