Regional Sales Director (Auto Dealerships and Repair)

Our client is in the auto parts space, acting as advocates for their clients' products! Basically, they partner with Auto Parts Wholesalers and Dealers, and then represent those clients to premier auto maintenance or collision repair facilities. The are nationwide and excited to continue their growth.

You will play a key role in overall company growth by managing the business development team in the western US region; currently covering 8 major markets. Your focus will be on training, mentorship, management of KPIs and metrics, new territory development, and overall representing the company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire, train, and mentor the western US territory sales team
  • Set performance expectations, provide coaching, and conduct regular performance reviews
  • Monitor and analyze territory performance via KPIs and Metrics, ensuring alignment with company goals and revenue targets.
  • Address performance concerns; reward high performers
  • Travel to the territories in your region for training and development purposes
  • Identify new business opportunities and expansion strategies to enhance competitive positioning
  • Market research to stay on top of trends and data
  • Ensure the effective use of technology, reporting tools, and data analytics to improve decision-making.
  • Collaboration with other regional managers for other regions
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for key accounts and regional partners; maintain strong relationships with auto dealerships, collision centers, and suppliers
  • Manage regional budgets, expenses, and financial planning to optimize profitability
Qualifications
  • 5+ years experience managing a territory sales/outside sales team
  • 3+ years experience with territory business development/outside sales
  • Auto parts or auto industry experience required
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal capabilities
  • Ability to travel the Western US region as needed.
