The target pay range for this position is $ – $ annually, with a full range of $99,900.00 – $ annually. Compensation is determined by relevant job-related skills, experience, education, and individual qualifications. Incentives are performance based and vary by role.

As a Senior Commercial Portfolio Manager, you’ll protect and grow BECU’s commercial lending portfolio while helping our members thrive. Your expertise will influence sound credit decisions, strengthen long-term relationships, and support responsible, sustainable financial solutions. Your work powers the future of our business community.
What You’ll Do- Manage and grow your portfolio of business credits: conduct annual reviews, manage credit extensions, and evaluate new requests to maintain strong and aligned relationships.
- Lead credit analysis and underwriting: perform detailed financial spreads, analyze balance sheets and cash flow, and underwrite new and existing relationships.
- Exercise independent credit authority: recommend and approve credit requests within your lending authority, including risk ratings, pricing, and structures for large and complex CRE and C&I credits.
- Support members through challenges: collaborate with borrowers, relationship managers, and legal partners to navigate solutions until transition to Credit Risk Special Assets.
- Advise business services leadership: provide recommendations on new requests, renewals, and annual reviews, helping leadership make informed, strategic decisions.
- Structure and protect credit relationships: work with attorneys and financial professionals to ensure loan structures are accurate, compliant, and protect BECU’s interests.
- Collaborate and mentor: coach, partner with, and mentor colleagues, serving as a trusted consultative resource across Business Services.
- Negotiate credit terms: balance member needs with prudent risk management by negotiating terms, pricing, repayment structures, and collateral requirements.
- Stay current and compliant: maintain knowledge of commercial lending policies, procedures, and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and information protection.
- Represent BECU in the community: promote BECU through community involvement and industry organizations to strengthen relationships and reinforce our commitment to the business community.
- Contribute where needed: take on additional responsibilities as assigned to support the evolving needs of the organization.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field, or equivalent work or educational experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in commercial real estate (CRE) and commercial & industrial (C&I) analysis, underwriting, and/or relationship management in financial institutions.
