Our client is seeking a Vice President of Personal Lines Underwriting (SVP) to help expand a high‑net‑worth Property Excess program in California. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in an agency‑facing capacity, understand the retail players who serve this target market, and be able to direct a team of BDMs and Underwriting assistants.

• Develop and execute underwriting strategy for the high‑net‑worth Property Excess program.
• Lead and mentor a team of Business Development Managers and Underwriting Assistants.
• Build relationships with retail partners and manage program growth in California.
• Collaborate with actuaries, risk managers, and marketing teams to optimize product offerings.

• 10+ years of underwriting experience, preferably with an agency‑facing focus.
• Strong leadership skills and proven ability to manage cross‑functional teams.
• Deep understanding of personal lines insurance products and high‑net‑worth markets.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Base pay range: $/yr – $/yr plus annual bonus.
