The Broadmoor Group is seeking a dedicated and experienced Community Manager to join our team in Eureka, MO

Position Overview: The Community Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the property, managing team members, coordinating daily activities, and optimizing the use of property resources to achieve established financial and operational goals. This role will ensure that all operations align with company policies and adhere to relevant legal and regulatory requirements, including Fair Housing, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and other applicable multi-family housing regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day property operations, including tenant relations, financial management, budgeting for operating expenses and capital improvements, marketing and leasing, property maintenance, and staff supervision.
  • Lead by example to foster positive, productive relationships with residents and maintain high standards of customer service.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including rent collections, invoice payments, delinquent rent management, and payroll reporting.
  • Handle emergency situations efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop strategies to encourage long-term residency and enhance tenant retention.
  • Conduct property inspections regularly to ensure maintenance standards, curb appeal, and compliance with operational goals.
  • Stay informed on market conditions, implementing competitive strategies to attract and retain residents.
  • Address resident complaints promptly, serving as a liaison between residents and the corporate office to enforce property rules and regulations.
  • Possess a strong understanding of legal proceedings related to evictions and tenant rights.
  • Train, supervise, and evaluate on-site personnel, ensuring high performance and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budgets and audit lease files for accuracy and compliance.
  • Motivate and lead the team to achieve operational goals and drive successful marketing initiatives, including local outreach programs.
  • Complete miscellaneous duties such as timely online reporting and be available for after-hours and weekend emergencies.
  • Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills, with proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and database management.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant housing laws, including Fair Housing, ADA, and local regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the multifamily industry, including prior experience in a managerial role.
  • Proven experience in lease-up and complex property management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in computer skills, with extensive experience using Onesite and managing community budgets.
  • Strong background in financial reporting and budget management.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and regulations governing multi-family housing operations.
