Job DescriptionThe Assistant Chief Maintenance Engineer is responsible for coordinating maintenance requests, tracking ongoing projects, updating and maintaining property details and organizing the Maintenance Department. This person will assist the Chief Maintenance Engineer to ensure the Maintenance Department runs as smoothly as possible.
Responsibilities- Communicate with other departments regarding maintenance requests
- Create, organize and assign work orders
- Research parts and equipment for purchasing
- Assist in budget control
- In charge of schedules and timecard approvals for payroll
- Assists with other duties and projects assigned
- Proficient with Outlook, Word and Excel
- Maintenance Knowledge (Preferred)
- Attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task
- Organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines
- Reliable vehicle
- Excellent customer service skills
- Work well with computers
- Comfortable taking and making phone calls
- Passion for helping people
