POSITION SUMMARY
Monday - Friday 7AM - 330 PM The Maintenance Tech 2 is responsible for maintaining equipment and clean environment for all associates and guests of the company. Determining cleanliness and good working order of equipment can be subjective. Maintenance Tech 2 must listen to recommendations by the Maintenance Tech 3 and to the requirements of the Facility and Maintenance Manager.
Essential Responsibilities- Clean as needed
- Maintain outside building areas including debris removal, pathways, snow removal, & de-ice applications (during severe weather working hours may vary)
- Set-up and maintain training and break rooms for various types of activities
- Operate powered sweepers and scrubbers to clean all walkways and drive aisles
- Operate Powered Industrial Trucks including forklifts and aerial lifts
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools
- Perform general painting including walls, stairs, door, and some machinery
- Aid Maintenance Tech 3 in facility projects as required and requested
- Assist in preventative maintenance functions, and perform minor repairs and other light maintenance as necessary
- Assist in the counting and tracking of maintenance supplies and equipment
- Trouble shoot equipment as requested
Work is performed mostly in an uncontrolled atmosphere; will be exposed to harsh conditions—such as: dust, fumes, noise, and varying temperatures. This position will require you to stand/walk 90% of the workday and sit 10% of the workday. The ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis is required. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, bend, squat, climb ladders, operate scissor-lift, sit-down forklift, stand-up forklift, use hands and fingers to handle or feel;
talk and hear. All employees are required to follow safety standards, adhere to Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and wear all personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas.
