Systems Application & Technologies, Inc. (SA-TECH) is a progressive and well-established DoD contractor specializing in range operations and maintenance (O&M), weapons testing, facilities management, aerial, ground and seaborne targets O&M, technical, logistics and other engineering support, systems integration, electronics and communications maintenance services, and cybersecurity. We operate a dozen active test and/or training ranges for the Army, Air Force and Navy.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnoses, repairs and maintains ground support equipment (GSE).
  • Advises and trains lower grade workers on diagnosis and repairs of less complex repair/maintenance problems.
  • Diagnoses all system components including electrical, electronics, and emissions-related fault codes to repair or replace faulty parts as indicated by testing or observations.
  • Uses automated maintenance data systems to monitor maintenance trends, analyze equipment requirements, maintain equipment records, and document maintenance actions.
Other Duties
  • Maintain external fuel and grounding systems.
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on GSE.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electronic circuitry malfunctions using visual and auditory senses, test equipment, and technical publications.
  • Prepare GSE for storage and mobility deployment.
  • Operate, clean, inspect and service GSE towing vehicles.
  • Cross-utilization into other positions within scope of work.
Work Conditions
  • Most work will be accomplished outdoors; conditions vary by season and location.
  • There will be work on the range throughout the year; temperatures will vary.
  • Physical requirements:

    roughly 45% standing, 25% walking, 20% sitting, 5% reaching, 5% lifting; must be capable of lifting 50–100 pounds with assistance.
  • Must be able to deploy both CONUS and OCONUS.
  • Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed, sometimes on short notice, to support test missions. Shift hours will vary by mission requirements.
  • Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for work tasks assigned.
Education/Experience/Skills
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Three (3) years’ experience repairing and maintaining one or a combination of the following:
    • Ground Vehicles (track or wheeled)
    • Power-generation equipment
    • Rotary- or fixed-wing aircraft
    • Industrial mechanical equipment (pumps, conveyors, lifts, etc.)
  • Military experience with Maintenance and Mechanical background (91, 88, 3521 or other Mechanical MOS preferred).
  • Working knowledge of computer systems and software.
  • Experience working at a government facility helpful, but not required.
  • Forklift Operator license required.
  • Class A license preferred.
  • Current Driver’s License required; must be insurable through the company vehicle insurance policy while driving work/government/rental vehicles during working hours and for the duration of employment.
  • U.S. Citizenship required and the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Security Secret Clearance prior to start date and maintain a Secret clearance throughout employment.
  • All candidates will be required to pass background screening including SSN, Driver Record, and Criminal Background Investigation.
