The Field Service Technician Sr independently manages complex field service and repair needs across an assigned territory. This includes performing technical installations, advanced diagnostics, and equipment servicing. The Field Service Technician Sr provides on-site customer training, supports critical issue resolution, and leads or mentors less experienced technicians. This role also contributes to design feedback, documentation, and improvement initiatives.
YOUR IMPACT
These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive, and other duties may be assigned:
- Install, calibrate, configure, and test new equipment systems at customer locations.
- Lead service delivery on critical product issues and provide technical support in non-routine or complex situations.
- Conduct training sessions and provide guidance on product functionality to end-users or dealer technicians.
- Monitor customer readiness and proactively identify repair needs or product issues that may impact uptime.
- Serve as primary field contact for escalated service cases and customer complaints.
- Mentor and coach Field Service Technicians and participate in the onboarding and training of new personnel.
- Interface with engineering, technical support, and product design teams to resolve customer concerns and report issues.
- Recommend updates to service processes and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
- Represent the company with professionalism in all customer-facing interactions.
- Maintain detailed records of service work, customer interactions, and parts usage.
- Perform all functions of the Field Service Technician, with additional focus on advanced diagnostic troubleshooting and problem resolution.
- High School Diploma or GED and five (5) or more years of relevant experience in machine assembly, light fabrication; or previous relevant contracting experience with Oshkosh Corporation; or an equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the role.
- Valid driver’s license must be maintained at all times.
- Ability to possess a DOT card.
- Strong mechanical and technical skills, with demonstrated customer relationship and communication strengths.
- Ability to travel up to 80%
- Technical degree preferred
- Valid CDL B license
- This role combines office-based administrative duties with physical activity in field or production environments.
- In the office setting, tasks may require extended computer use, sitting, and attending meetings.
- Field or floor work may involve walking across various terrains or shop floors, standing, moderate lifting (up to 50 pounds), climbing stairs, and exposure to varying temperatures or noise levels.
- Must be able to shift focus between detailed cognitive work and occasional physical tasks as needed.

Pay Range:
$73,200.00 - $
The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
