Overview
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and performing general and preventative maintenance duties for Aloft, Element, and the Diamond Conference Center properties. This role ensures all mechanical, HVAC, pool, and plumbing systems are operating efficiently and safely. The Maintenance Supervisor leads maintenance team members, prioritizes work orders, and ensures the physical integrity of all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to uphold brand standards and guest satisfaction.
ResponsibilitiesPreventative & General Maintenance
- Implement and manage a comprehensive preventative maintenance program for all properties.
- Schedule and complete routine inspections of guest rooms, equipment, building systems, and public areas.
- Monitor and maintain the physical condition of facilities in accordance with established quality standards.
- Ensure proper logging and follow-up on all maintenance requests and work orders.
- Diagnose, repair, and perform routine maintenance on PTAC and central HVAC systems.
- Ensure climate control systems are functioning optimally across all rooms and event spaces.
- Monitor inventory of replacement parts and filters and ensure timely servicing.
- Maintain pools and spa areas in compliance with local health codes and brand standards.
- Test and balance pool chemicals daily, clean filters, and ensure safety equipment is in place.
- Keep pool logs accurate and up-to-date for inspections.
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing issues, including sinks, toilets, drains, and water heaters.
- Perform basic electrical repairs such as lighting replacements, switch repairs, and outlet servicing.
- Identify and respond to safety concerns or hazards immediately.
- Supervise and schedule maintenance staff and vendors, ensuring timely project completion.
- Conduct safety training and ensure compliance with OSHA and local regulations.
- Coordinate with hotel and conference center leadership on capital projects, vendor needs, and emergency maintenance.
- Maintain maintenance logs, supply inventory, and equipment condition reports.
