DUTIESUnder direct, but not constant supervision, and working on a rotating or straight shift as may be required, to measure and maintain the reliability and performance of nuclear plant control systems and instruments; to repair and maintain special testing apparatus and to perform other work assignments such as, but not limited to, the following:
Journeymen will direct on-the-job training of Apprentices. Journeymen and Apprentices will participate in ongoing training, including successful completion of TPEs.
To develop and maintain complete understanding of all facets of the plant emergency program and plant security system. To react as appropriate in the protection of the public in case of an operational emergency. To serve as an active participant in these programs.
Qualifications for JourneymanAn applicant for the Journeyman Program shall:
Must meet qualifications for entry into the apprenticeship program AND meet one of the following criteria:
- a. Three years of experience doing journeyman level comparable work specific to the discipline being applied.
- OR
- Completion of associated apprentice program.
- OR
- Associate's degree in Electronics Engineering Technology from the State Technical College of Missouri or equivalent program
- OR
- Associate's degree in Control Systems Technology from Ranken Technical College or equivalent program.

Terms of PromotionEmployees shall advance to a Journeyman after successfully completing Phase 2 or after one (1) year (excluding time absent), whichever occurs first
Hourly PayGrade Step OA 101 Step 1 of 1 (Top Step) - 52.81 USD
