PORTCO was founded in 1991 as an Employment Service Organization to provide transitional, supported employment and vocational services to individuals with disabilities who could not otherwise find and maintain competitive employment on their own.
Manual labor associated with the daily cleaning of buildings. Employees in this job classification are under immediate supervision and perform various duties requiring moderate physical strength (able to lift 50 pounds). Typical duties may include some or all of the following: dust mopping, sweeping, wet mopping, dusting, cleaning restrooms, removing trash, polishing furniture, high dusting, vacuuming and simple operation of basic mechanical cleaning equipment, some seasonal grounds labor.
Spring Mulching, summer power washing, Fall leave removal, winter snow removal.
- Police public areas
- Basic floor care: dust mop, sweep and wet mop floors

- Working closely and harmoniously with other employees.
- Adherence to contract requirements, company policies, and all safety and health regulations.
- Punctual attendance.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Job Requirements , Mandatory- Basic knowledge of modern housekeeping practices, procedures, systems, and equipment.
- Basic knowledge of safety practices as related to work.
- Basic knowledge of health service techniques and practices.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co‑workers, hospital staff, and government officials.
- Ability to follow directions, understand work rules and procedures. Ability to accept constructive criticism.
- High diploma or equivalent
