general description: take care of laundry, garbage, sweeping and supplies.

essential job functions:

take down soiled laundry and bring up clean laundry.

take garbage out to dumpster from kitchen and other areas of elim park and elim park place.

stock nursing supplies of juice and paper goods and bring up whatever they need from storeroom.

sweep and mop all dining room floors daily.

must remove snow by shovel or power means; apply ice melt and sand as necessary.

be willing and able to learn emergency procedures for weekend duty.

performs any other job related duties and responsibilities that may become necessary or as directed by supervisor.

help with other maintenance duties when needed.

entry level qualifications:

high school diploma

ability to follow instructions

able to speak, read, understand english language

must be able to work weekends and nights as assigned.

physical requirements:

good physical health and demonstrates emotional stability

must be able to lift, stoop, kneel, sit, stand, bend, squat, and move with flexibility.

must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

must be able to walk up to 2 miles a shift.

equipment to be used: walkie-talkie floor strippers/cleaners ladders

key accountabilities (with or without reasonable accommodation):

transports dirty and clean laundry on timely basis.

thoroughly sweeps and mops dining rooms in health center.

transports nursing supplies as requested to nursing wings.

empties garbage from all common areas.

orders paper goods and supplies from easter bag.
