The pay range for this position is $31.33‑$43.16 paid hourly, offers will be based on the successful candidate's experience.

Role & Responsibilities

• Observations, monitoring and testing for compliance with plans and specifications.
• Ability to understand and read plans and specifications that are applicable to the inspection duties and requirements.
• Knowledge of the California Building Code (CBC), International Building Code (IBC), ASTM Standards, ACI Standards and AWS Standards.
• Ability to clearly write daily field reports and non‑conformance reports.
• Exercise high levels of ethics.
• Have and maintain a clean driving record.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Appropriate I.C.C., A.C.I., A.W.S. and/or Nuclear Gauge certifications
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid California Driver’s License, maintain a clean driving record.
• Position eligible for prevailing wage compensation on publicly funded projects.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to and read plans and specifications that are applicable to the inspection duties and requirements.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with guidance from supervisor and oversight engineer(s).

Schedule

• 8‑hour shifts but can vary depending on workload.
• May require weekend and night shift work on a periodic basis.

  2 years, Minimum of 3 years’ experience, 5‑7 years preferred

License/Certification

• Driver's License (Required)
• ICC Inspector, ACI, and Caltrans Certifications (Preferred for some positions)
