Trueline’s client, a California-based litigation firm known for its deep bench strength and enduring client relationships, is seeking a Litigation Associate to join their team in San Francisco. This is a growth opportunity for a mid‑level litigator to take on substantive responsibility within a collaborative firm that values mentorship, career longevity, and a strong trial practice.
What You’ll Do- Handle a diverse caseload of civil litigation matters including employment disputes, financial services defense, maritime claims, and commercial litigation.
- Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery.
- Appear at hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and negotiations.
- Work closely with partners and senior attorneys to develop case strategy and prepare for trial.
- Be part of a firm that prioritizes attorney development and long‑term career growth.
- At least 4 years of litigation experience in California.
- Solid command of California civil procedure and courtroom experience.
- Strong writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage cases independently while collaborating within a team.
- Experience with arbitration, particularly binding arbitration.
- Background in maritime or securities litigation.
- Litigation experience involving financial institutions or employers.
- Competitive base salary with performance bonuses up to 25% quarterly.
