Litigation Associate Attorney – Insurance Defense
Office

Irvine, CA
(Hybrid or Remote in California)
With over 100 attorneys practicing in ten U.S. offices and London, England, this mid-size law firm serves as international, national, regional and local counsel to numerous insurance companies, corporations and financial clients.
The firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Associate Attorney with 4–6 years of insurance defense experience to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who thrives in a dynamic environment and brings strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
Responsibilities- Manage all phases of defense litigation—from initial response through jury verdict
- Draft pleadings, motions, and other key court filings
- Communicate effectively with clients and provide timely case updates
- Oversee and respond to discovery requests; collaborate with clients to gather key documents
- Conduct comprehensive legal research related to insurance defense matters
- Represent the firm at depositions, hearings, site inspections, and mediations
- Actively participate in all aspects of litigation management
- 4–6 years of insurance defense litigation experience
- Strong legal writing, research, and analytical abilities
- Experience with discovery, depositions, mediations, motion practice, and trial preparation
- Familiarity with legal billing practices
- California applicants: Active CA license required; experience with construction defect, commercial, general liability, or professional liability matters is preferred; must reside in California
- Competitive Base salary (CA range: $110,000–$145,000
, depending on experience) - Performance‑based annual raises
