About Us:

We are a civil litigation defense firm specializing in public entity cases, and we are seeking an associate attorney to join our growing practice. The ideal candidate will have one to three years of experience and the ability to work independently on aggressively litigated cases with significant exposure. Experience in handling general liability and employment litigation is highly valued. Candidates should possess an excellent work ethic, strong legal research and writing skills, and demonstrate a positive and productive attitude.

We are looking for someone who is eager to learn and take on additional responsibilities as they grow within the firm.

Responsibilities
  • Case Management
  • Preparation of motions, oppositions, replies, and other court pleadings.
  • Analysis of legal issues, exposures, and defenses.
  • Prepare/Respond to written discovery.
  • Assessment of damages claims.
  • Work as part of a team with all levels of experience
  • Provide leadership and direction to less experienced attorneys
Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar association and good standing.
  • Proven ability to negotiate effectively on behalf of clients.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • A commitment to upholding ethical standards in all legal practices.
