Overview

Hanna Interpreting Services LLC is a language service provider that connects bilingual and multilingual individuals with opportunities to serve as freelance interpreters or translators. Our mission is to bridge the communication gap for those in need through excellent and compassionate language services. Hanna is Hiring Tactile ASL (American Sign Language) Interpreters to operate as freelance interpreters in a 1099 Independent Contractor role.

Interpreters contribute to language access for everyone, regardless of English proficiency. As an independent contractor, you set your availability and accept appointments based on your schedule.

Appointments are available Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm. Appointments are not guaranteed and are offered based on need. Interpreter rates can vary depending on availability, experience, and language demand.

• Operate as a freelance ASL interpreter in a 1099 Independent Contractor role.
• Set your own availability and accept appointments based on your schedule.
• Provide interpretation services to clients in various settings as needed.

• Exhibit proficiency in ASL (American Sign Language).
• Be willing to complete ASL assessment by a Certified ASL Professional (exceptions possible with proven work history and certifications).
• Complete all required documents in a timely manner.
• Demonstrate flexibility to work in different settings and adapt to various environments.
• Must be located in and authorized to work in the US (we do not offer visa sponsorship).
• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Submit your application and tell us about your experience interpreting in a professional or volunteer capacity.
• Our Recruitment team will connect with you to schedule a preliminary interview.
• If you meet the baseline requirements, you will complete a skills assessment and background check.
• Qualified interpreters will be invited to complete the onboarding process to join the linguist network.
