GTS Ops Support Rep

Overview

This is an interview position.

Provides technical customs regulations expertise to internal and external customers pertaining to Canadian and international customs regulations and legislation. Acts as a qualified representative for Fed Ex management in customs consulting to customers and global sales. Provides customer satisfaction through efficient problem resolution. Plans and implements GTS projects as assigned and works as a management assist person. Interacts with local government agencies in order to protest/follow through to resolve any Administrative Monetary Penalty System (AMPS) penalties.

Required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Educational Requirements Post Secondary:

• Bachelor's degree/educational equivalent
• CCS Designation
• EXCEL - If not Excel certified must successfully complete the professional development stream within one year from start date.

Related Experience Requirements Minimum number of years required for entry to this job:

• GTS - 3.5 years
• Current customs experience required including commodity classification, valuation laws and other governmental agency requirements

Amount of time required to learn or adjust to the job:

• 1 year

Other specific mandatory experience requirements

• Incumbents must maintain their CCS designation when in this position. Must achieve annual recurrency points.

Technical Skill Requirements Solid knowledge of the following:

• Thorough knowledge of GTS clearance systems.
• Knowledge of Fed Ex Express operations, systems and procedures

Computer literacy and proficiency:

• Microsoft Word - Basic
• Microsoft Excel - Basic
• Excel Powerpoint - Basic
• Outlook - Basic

3) their performance on any driver competency assessments administered.
