Auto Field Adjuster

Overview

National General is a part of The Allstate Corporation, offering home, auto and other niche insurance products through a large network of independent agents and direct-to-consumers. This role is responsible for creating a comprehensive estimate of damages for 1st and 3rd party material damage claims, guiding proper disposition. The position serves as a peer mentor with mastered processes and technical expertise.

The Auto Field Damage Estimator is field-based, territory-specific, and ideal candidates will be located in California, residing in or near Oceanside, Encinitas, or Escondido.

• Interprets regulatory compliance and fair claims practices
• Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments, and documents all activities in the most complex files
• Applies mastered content in interpretations of all policy types written by the company and assists leadership in formal and ad hoc training
• Exhibits mastery estimating fundamentals to create estimates of damages on 1st and 3rd party material damage losses of all severities
• Builds mastered relationships with both internal and external customers

This job does not have supervisory duties.

• Field Adjuster Cons I: $26.49 – 37.50/hour
• Field Adjuster Cons II: $28.03 – 39.42/hour
• Field Adjuster Sr. Cons I: $35.82 – 45.58/hour

Compensation is based on experience and qualifications. Total compensation may include additional components, such as incentive pay (for example, commission or bonus), if applicable.
