- Process submissions by providing account triage for underwriters
- Gather and compile information required to quote and/or bind an account
- Generate, edit, and send out various correspondence on behalf of underwriters, including declination letters and quote follow-ups
- Provide customer service and underwriting support to help achieve new and renewal premium goals
- Assist underwriters as requested and complete related clerical and administrative duties
- Bachelor’s degree in risk management, finance, business, or a related field preferred
- 0–1 year of underwriting or insurance experience
- Foundational knowledge of insurance principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to follow policies and procedures effectively
- Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail
- Experience in building relationships with producers under supervision
- Capability to work independently for extended periods
- Willingness to travel up to 10% with an underwriter
