Job DescriptionWe are seeking a West Coast AVP Team Leader for the eRisk underwriting group within the Executive Risk division, located in San Francisco or Los Angeles. The role leads underwriting operations for Technology E&O, Cyber insurance and related products.
Responsibilities- Oversee a team of underwriters to meet budget and production goals.
- Provide training, mentorship and assistance to team members.
- Generate, underwrite and analyze Technology E&O, Cyber and other professional liability products.
- Engage market-facing and production duties within the Executive Risk Division.
- Administer and monitor underwriting rules, guidelines, insurance laws and rating manual rules.
- Develop and maintain agency and broker relationships.
- Maintain, organize and update files.
- Complete projects and other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (required).
- 10+ years of underwriting/brokerage experience with professional or management liability products; preferred experience with Technology E&O or Cyber insurance.
- Superior relationship‑building, active listening, needs‑analysis and win‑win negotiating skills.
- Strong presentation skills and a solutions‑and‑service orientation.
- Knowledge of time management.
- Excellent oral and written communication; strong negotiation skills.
- Ability to assess risk effectively and multi‑task.
- Team‑oriented and collaborative.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and willingness to learn new applications.
- Adherence to departmental policies and procedures, including authority levels and risk‑management controls.
- Some travel required.

- Annual base pay ranging from $127,000–$238,700 (depending on role and market).
