Claims Investigative Specialist – National General
National General, a part of The Allstate Corporation, is looking for a Claims Investigative Specialist to work through unique claims files and verify validity, investigate facts of loss for basic to advanced automobile accidents, determine coverage, liability, damages, adjust and negotiate claims within limit of authority. This role supports the West Coast claims team, ideally located in Pacific Time Zone, but other zones considered for Pacific hours.
Key Responsibilities- Investigate all aspects of auto claims (coverage, damages, subrogation) with discretion and independence.
- Apply intermediate understanding of insurance policies.
- Determine subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle.
- Identify customer needs and provide service.
- Recognize vehicle body parts and potential property damage.
- Partner with assigned reps on fraud or subrogation cases.
- Comfort working through claim details and determining next steps.
- Ability to analyze information and exercise sound judgment.
- Strong communication with customers and internal partners.
- Organization and follow-through when managing multiple claims.
- Interest in learning and applying insurance policies.
- Willingness to obtain and maintain adjuster licenses, as needed.
Base compensation ranges by level:
Adjuster Analyst III – $50,000–$65,300;
Adjuster Cons I – $50,000–$74,120;
Adjuster Cons II – $56,000–$82,500;
Adjuster Sr Cons I – $68,500–$104,100. Total compensation includes incentive pay (commission, bonus, etc.) when applicable.
