Simulation Federation Manager

Valiant is looking for a Simulation Federation Manager to join our Team!

• Is the KBSC point of contact for all simulation federation and related matters.
• Responsible for coordinating and developing the Technical Support Plans to be Incorporated in the Simulation Control Plan for simulation exercises.
• Install, operate, and maintain the HLA software and protocols, to enable simulations to communicate with one another.
• Install, operate, and maintain JLVC software and components, to enable integration of JLVC simulation and components.
• Ensures compliance with policies and procedures for system design, programming, documentation, and testing.
• Monitors system performance during exercises and takes corrective actions when required.
• Reviews all program documentation and ensures compliance with hardware and software system configuration management policies.
• Ensures all communication between servers, remote sites, and simulation models are fully operational.
• Responsible for supporting on-site system testing to insure interoperability solutions between US and Korean simulation models.
• Coordinates the identification, resolution, and correction of hardware and software problems.
• Responsible for resolving federation anomalies and take the appropriate action to resolve those actions in a timely manner.
• Provides 12/24-hour coverage during exercise periods to include working shifts when required to include night shift.
• Demonstrate a keen understanding of the importance of the need for exceptional customer-contractor relationships.
• Maintain 100% equipment accountability at all times. This includes hardware, software, and all system accessories.
  
  Conducts VIP Visitor Briefing’s when required.
• Assists in all other Technical Support Branch operations when required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Active Secret

• Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or 2 years of experience working with Modeling and Simulations systems;
  BS or BA degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or 3 years of experience working with Modeling and Simulations preferred.
• Industry standard technical certifications for IAT Level II, IAW DOD BPP
  05-PR-M-0002 and DoDM 8140.03 Cyberspace Workforce and Management Program

• Three years’ experience with at least 2 of the following:
  Red Linux, Window, and UNIX operation systems, VMWARE.
• Experience with large-scale simulation distributed exercises.
• Demonstrate knowledge in Information Systems and Information Technology as described and required by the task.
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of Red Hat Linux, VMWARE and Windows.
• Understanding of large-scale distributed simulation exercises.

Physical requirements may include, but are not limited to, lifting, ascending, and descending stairs, climbing, extended sitting or standing, to various degrees.
