Location: Reeds Spring

General Summary

The IT Technician must be a detail-oriented and tech-savvy individual and able to provide basic technical support, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and assist with IT operations. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the field of information technology.

Performance Responsibilities
  • Assist with the preparation and deployment of new computers and devices.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot hardware and software issues for District devices.
  • Assist in setting up, installing and configuring new technology systems.
  • Provide support for users experiencing IT-related issues (hardware and software).
  • Ensure proper maintenance and regular updates for computers and related devices.
  • Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions for future reference.
  • Other duties assigned by the Superintendent or designee.
Qualifications
  • Education Level: A minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent (preferred RS graduate).
  • Certification:
    CompTIA Certifications are preferred but not required.
  • Experience Desired:
    Prior experience or coursework in IT/Technology is preferred but not required.
  • Other Requirements:
    Basic understanding of computer hardware and software. Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment. Excellent communication skills for user support. Must successfully pass a background check that is satisfactory to the Board of Education.
