Business Analyst – Freight & Corporate ; IT

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst to support IT initiatives focused on Freight, Corporate Payments, and cost optimization. This role will partner closely with Business, Finance, and Technology teams to drive analysis, requirements documentation, and testing efforts across enterprise systems.

The ideal candidate brings strong cost analysis experience, excellent documentation skills, and hands-on involvement in testing within an Agile environment.

• Perform detailed cost analysis to support freight, payment, and operational initiatives
• Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements
• Translate business needs into clear user stories with defined acceptance criteria
• Support system enhancements, integrations, and optimization initiatives
• Create process flows, data mapping documents, and impact assessments
• Develop and execute test cases
  ; support SIT and UAT cycles
• Track and manage defects in collaboration with QA and development teams
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and retrospectives
• Act as a liaison between business and technical teams to ensure alignment and successful delivery

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in IT environments
• Strong experience in cost analysis and financial impact assessment
• Proven ability to write detailed functional and non-functional requirements
• Hands-on experience with testing (SIT/UAT, test case creation, defect tracking)
• Experience working in an Agile or hybrid SDLC environment
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel; SQL is a plus
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• Experience in the Freight / Transportation domain
• Knowledge of Corporate Payments or Accounts Payable processes
• Exposure to or participation in AI or automation initiatives
• Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) or enterprise financial systems.
