Under the direction of the Supervisor I, the Analyst I takes the lead in supporting the Division's technology-related modernization efforts that affect the Department's mission-critical Driver Licensing (DL), Vehicle Registration (VR), Industry Services, and Document Services programs, including processes to augment digital service adoption and implement Intelligent Automation to refine and update business rules, functionality, quality assurance, and technology solutions.
Reviews, recommends, coordinates, and implements modernization projects to assist with streamlining work processes, customer service goals, and divisional workloads. Serves as a project lead for divisional and multi-divisional projects. Develops conceptual designs, implementation strategies, and action plans.

Part-time telework available. Telework requires California residency. This position offers hybrid telework opportunities; however, telework arrangements are subject to change at any time based on State & departmental operational needs. Employees may be required to report to the office as necessary.
This position is in an office setting in Sacramento. Works under artificial lighting, with exposure to computer screens and other basic office equipment. Works in an environment with potentially time sensitive demands and shifting priorities.
