The Role

Mapletree is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing SD-WAN, network switches, firewall and performing network BAU (Business As Usual) tasks. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, thorough knowledge of network administration, and a passion for maintaining secure and efficient networks.



Job Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and manage functional networks (LAN, WLAN, SDWAN, Firewalls).
  • Configure, install and manage various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS).
  • Monitor network performance and ensure optimal speed and functionality.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot network issues, providing timely resolutions.
  • Manage and optimize in-house and cloud-based networks in Azure and Alibaba Cloud.
  • Develop and implement network security protocols to protect data, software, and hardware.
  • Perform network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.
  • Plan for and respond to service outages and other network problems.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks.
  • Ability to be in office 4 days a week.


Job Requirements

  • 5+ years’ relevant experience working in a technical support capacity.
  • Proven experience as a Network Engineer or Network Administrator.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CCNP) is preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF).
  • Familiarity with access control models and network security.
  • Knowledge of coding languages for scripting (e.g., Python, Perl) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of VMware and Operating System (Windows Server 2019, 2022, etc) is a plus
  • Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools (e.g., Solar Winds network tools).
  • Solid understanding of network operating systems (e.g. Cisco IOS).
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.
  • BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Compensation Data

The annual base compensation range for this role sits between: $90,000 - $110,000
