Director, IT General Controls
Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Director of IT General Controls to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $200,000 to $250,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities- Define and maintain the IT General Controls (ITGC) framework aligned with SOX ICFR and Azure-native policies.
- Oversee identity and access management by enforcing least privilege and running quarterly access reviews.
- Implement change management processes, including IaC (Terraform) and CI/CD-only deployments for in-scope systems.
- Centralize logging and automate evidence exports to support audits and compliance requirements.
- Build and lead a high-performing ITGC/IT Risk team while coaching engineering and IT owners on control-by-design practices.
- Demonstrate deep hands-on experience with Azure and Entra , including Conditional Access, PIM, RBAC, and Azure Policy.
- Apply strong knowledge of CI/CD and IaC practices using Azure Dev Ops or Git Hub Actions and Terraform.
- Utilize automation tools such as Microsoft Power Platform and Service Now to streamline evidence collection and approvals.
- Communicate effectively with Finance, Security, Engineering, and Audit stakeholders to manage walkthroughs and requests.
- Track and remediate control exceptions while maintaining timely reporting to senior leadership and audit committees.
- 10+ years of experience in IT controls, IT audit, or IT risk within cloud-first environments, including 5+ years leading programs.
- Show proven success implementing SOX ITGC for public or pre-IPO companies.
- Hold familiarity with compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS, and NIST; CISA certification is a plus.
- Bring experience with evidence automation and building durable audit artifacts for SOX compliance.
- Exhibit strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and ability to influence cross-functional teams in high-growth environments.
