Medical Analytics, Manager What you will doLet’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will lead insights generation by integrating a multitude of data sources to drive impact of the medical organization at Amgen and broadly.
Reporting to the Director of Medical Insights, the Medical Analytics, Manager will design and develop advanced analytical solutions that enable the Medical Affairs team to extract meaningful insights from various complex datasets. This role will serve as a technical cornerstone within the Medical Data and Analytics (MD&A) team, translating structured and unstructured data into actionable intelligence to inform strategic decisions and improve patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Support the design, development and execution of advanced analytical insights and solutions that align with Global Medical Affairs strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to identify and incorporate opportunities to apply AI, Machine Learning, quantitative methods, multivariate statistics, predictive modeling and other analytics frameworks/techniques to resolve cause and effect
- Support the development, interpretation and continuous improvement of medical analytics deliverables to translate complex analytics into clear, data-driven recommendations that support medical leadership decision-making, inform MSL strategies and enhance patient outcomes.
- Prepare, interpret and present analyses on specific business objectives and in preparation for ad hoc “investigative” requests.
- Develop, manage, and continuously improve the field medical targeting framework, including HCP segmentation, digital omnichannel tactics, and providing and recommendations for balancing and/or enhanced operational performance.
- Proactively coordinate and promote positive medical and cross-functional stakeholder relations (e.g., Global Field Medical Excellence, US Strategy & Performance, data & analytics teams, etc.) to deliver an integrated and high-quality secondary data analysis and insights capability.
- Find opportunities and improve the Analytics team capabilities by researching and implementing new analytical tools, methodologies, internal and external standard processes, new data sources, etc.
- Promote compliance with Amgen enterprise/Medical data management governance and standards; ensure data compliance, integrity, and accuracy in all analyses and reports.

Flexible Commuter role to Thousand Oaks, US Headquarter site. You will work on-site a minimum of 2 days a week.
