Sr. Lead .NET Developer – Public Safety & Justice Systems

Job Summary

The Sr. Lead .NET Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing enterprise-level interfaces and data exchanges for critical public safety systems, including the Inmate Record Information System (IRIS) and the Integrated Justice System (IJS). These systems support the Sheriff’s Office and modernize components of the Criminal Justice Information Control (CJIC) platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test system integrations and data exchange interfaces
• Lead integration efforts for IRIS and IJS modernization initiatives
• Develop and maintain APIs and middleware components
• Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather and document business requirements
• Prepare and maintain technical and business documentation
• Ensure system scalability, performance, and data integrity
• Support cloud-based integration solutions
• Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the project lifecycle

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

• C# / .NET Development: 10+ years
• Integration Technologies: APIs, ESB, middleware (7+ years)
• Data Formats & Protocols: XML, JSON, SOAP, REST (7+ years)
• Database Development: Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle SQL Server (7+ years)
• Cloud Platforms: Azure Integration Services, AWS (4+ years)
• Mule Soft API Manager
• Software AG API Gateway (4+ years)

Business & Functional Skills

• Strong experience working with business stakeholders and SMEs
• Ability to gather, analyze, and document business requirements
• Excellent communication and documentation skills

Additional Qualifications

• Experience working on large-scale government or public safety systems preferred
• Prior experience with justice, law enforcement, or correctional systems is a plus
