RESPONSIBILITIESThis position handles the support of the Sensitive Compartment Information Facility (SCIF). This role includes:
- Establish, operate, and maintain the Classified Inventory Control and on‑site SCI libraries for the Special Security Officer (SSO) – maintaining the “Watch‑to‑Watch” inventory.
- Schedule and perform quarterly alarm tests of SCIFs under NSWCPHD cognizance.
- Conduct inspections and searches.
- Establish and maintain the Non‑Disclosure Statement database located within the Defense Information Security System (DISS).
- Coordinate and generate Non‑Disclosure Agreements for employees with Top Secret/SCI clearance.
- Ensure areas are properly sanitized prior to escorting anyone into the SCIF.
- Maintain eyes‑on visual contact of non‑SCI visitors 100% of the time when performing escort duties in the SCIF.
- Maintain SCIF documentation and examine any threats.
Two (2) years of experience in:
- Visitor control – validating clearances and submitting outgoing and incoming visitor access requests, and processing visit documents.
- Clearance verification for secure rooms and authorized access lists.
- Submitting in‑and‑out processing.
- Meeting and training support.
- Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 704 Personnel Security Standards and Procedures governing eligibility for access to SCI.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office:
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. - Familiarity with Security Information Management System software (SIMS).
A minimum Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI is required to be considered for this position.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS- A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Allowable substitution – four (4) years of equivalent experience in personnel security.
