Business Analyst

Our client, a government agency supporting digital transformation initiatives, is seeking a Business Analyst to join their team. As a Business Analyst, you will be part of the Digital Services Department supporting the Website Modernization Project. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and stakeholder management abilities which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Business Analyst

Location: Sacramento, CA

Pay Range: starting from $65.00 per hour

What's the Job?

• Lead discovery sessions with stakeholders to define communication goals, business needs, and project objectives.
• Perform market research, including surveys, interviews, and competitive analysis to inform project direction.
• Develop user personas, journey maps, and KPIs to measure website success and usability.
• Document functional and non-functional requirements ensuring compliance with standards such as WCAG 2.2 Level AA, security, and usability guidelines.
• Collaborate with UX/UI teams to define information architecture, sitemaps, and user flows, supporting content audits and usability improvements.

What's Needed?

• At least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in web development or digital transformation projects.
• Strong understanding of Drupal CMS and content management workflows.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Familiarity with WCAG accessibility standards, usability principles, and data privacy compliance (GDPR, CCPA).
• Excellent requirements gathering, documentation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
