About the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated Desktop Support Technician to join our team in Dickinson, ND. This role is ideal for candidates with strong customer service skills, a solid technical foundation, and the ability to troubleshoot a wide range of desktop, hardware, and software issues in a fast‑paced environment. The technician will provide day‑to‑day support for end users, ensure operational continuity, and participate in on‑call rotations as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Provide hands‑on technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and approved applications
- Support user account management and access permissions
- Perform system imaging, device deployment, and upgrades
- Document all support interactions and resolutions in the ticketing system
- Collaborate with IT teams to elevate and resolve complex issues
- Participate in on‑call rotations and respond to after‑hours incidents as required
- Maintain inventory of equipment and ensure accurate tracking
- Deliver high‑quality, customer‑focused service at all times
Skills & Qualifications Entry‑Level Candidates
- Basic understanding of Windows OS, hardware components, and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with ticketing systems and remote‑support tools
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to follow standard procedures and elevate when necessary
- 2+ years of desktop support or IT helpdesk experience
- Strong proficiency with Windows OS, Active Directory, O365, and hardware diagnostics
- Experience with imaging, deployments, and network troubleshooting
- Ability to work independently and handle complex technical tasks
