Job Overview
Are you someone who thrives on keeping projects moving and teams connected? We are looking for an Associate Project Manager to join the GIS team and help drive key initiatives that support electric utility operations across multiple regions. In this role, you’ll work side-by-side with the GIS Manager, coordinating efforts, tracking progress, and making sure the right people have the right information at the right time.
You’ll be embedded in a collaborative team that values precision, communication, and innovation.
- Support the planning, tracking, and execution of GIS initiatives across our client’s electric utility operations.
- Coordinate efforts across teams, monitor timelines and deliverables, and ensure projects stay aligned with strategic goals.
- Maintain accurate GIS-related data in SAP, support documentation and reporting needs, and facilitate meetings with stakeholders.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure data integrity and resolve any project risks or issues that arise.
- Keep organized records and drive communication across departments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering Geography, GIS, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in project coordination or project management, preferably in a technical or GIS-related environment within the utility industry.
- Familiarity with SAP or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Working knowledge of GIS concepts, tools, and workflows (e.g., ArcGIS).
- PMP or CAPM certification is a plus.
- This position pays between $65,000 and $85,000 annually and is an exempt position.
