We are looking for a highly driven and versatile, proactive, and security-minded IT professional to join us as our first dedicated IT hire. You’ll own everything from high-level cloud and security infrastructure to day-to-day IT support, helping us scale securely and efficiently.
This role blends Dev Ops, cloud administration, and compliance responsibilities with hands-on IT support—ideal for someone excited to shape systems from the ground up in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Responsibilities- Own and maintain our AWS-based infrastructure, ensuring scalability, uptime, and cost-efficiency.
- Manage infrastructure-as-code using tools like Terraform.

- Proactively identify areas for automation across IT and cloud operations.
- Implement and enforce security policies, with a strong focus on HIPAA and other regulatory frameworks.
- Monitor and manage endpoint security, data protection, and user access controls.
- Conduct risk assessments, audits, and ensure secure offboarding procedures.
- Serve as the go-to resource for IT support: provisioning devices, resolving technical issues, and maintaining internal systems.
- Set up, manage, and decommission user accounts and credentials (Okta, Google Workspace, etc.).
- Drive onboarding and offboarding workflows for all employees.
- Maintain and improve help desk processes and documentation.
- Create and maintain IT policies, runbooks, and internal documentation.
- Educate employees on best practices around security, tools, and operations.
- Recommend and implement improvements to IT systems as the company scales.
- 5+ years of experience across IT operations, support, and cloud infrastructure—ideally in a startup or healthcare setting.
- Hands-on AWS experience, including EC2, IAM, S3, Cloud Watch, and VPC networking.
- Infrastructure-as-code skills (Terraform, Cloud Formation, or similar).
- Security-first mindset, with working knowledge of HIPAA or similar compliance standards.
- Fluency in user management (e.g., Okta, Active Directory, Google Workspace).
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills—you can explain technical topics to non-technical colleagues with clarity and empathy.
- Comfortable being a team of one with the potential to build and lead as we grow.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with healthcare platforms (EHRs, telehealth systems, etc.)
- Scripting or automation using Power Shell, Bash, or Python
- Certifications:
AWS (Dev Ops, Sys Ops, or Networking), CompTIA Security+, Network+, or equivalent
