Data Engineer

This role is responsible for the deployment, production support, and ongoing maintenance of website platforms and cloud-based infrastructure. It combines system administration, cloud operations, and automation engineering with deep experience in data engineering and programming—especially in Big Data technologies.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
• Administer production systems including monitoring, patching, and tuning.
• Troubleshoot platform issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Ensure system availability, performance, and reliability.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
• Support data engineering pipelines and integrate with Big Data ecosystems.
• Lead and support platform upgrades and migrations.

• 7+ years in Dev Ops, system administration, or cloud engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
• 5+ years programming in Java.
• Strong SQL skills for querying and data manipulation.

• Apache Spark and Scala
• Apache Hive (primary data warehouse)
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.

• Jenkins, Terraform
• CI/CD automation and orchestration

• Experience in recently migrated AWS environments.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure as code and container orchestration.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and adapt to dynamic technical environments.

[AWS, Kubernetes, or Big Data certifications are a plus – confirm if required]

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
