Responsibilities

    • Assess the target entity’s data environment, including data architecture, data management, reporting, and advanced analytics to identify dependencies and risks.
    • Define the scope, timeline, and resource requirements for data carve‑out and integration initiatives.
    • Inform TSA discussions and negotiations around the data and analytics perimeter.
  • Post‑Close Data Separation, Migration, and Integration
    • Lead data separation efforts, including extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from legacy systems to the buyer’s environment.
    • Manage lift‑and‑shift efforts or re‑platforming onto new cloud environments or technology stacks, including greenfield data platform builds.
    • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and contractual obligations during the carve‑out process.
    • Oversee the design and implementation of interim solutions to support business continuity during the transition period.
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for all data‑related carve‑out or integration activities, collaborating with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.
    • Communicate progress, risks, and mitigation strategies to senior leadership and stakeholders.

  • Post‑Carve‑Out/Integration Support
    • Provide post‑transition support to ensure the stability of the separated data environment.
    • Partner with IT and business teams to address any data‑related issues or gaps post‑carve‑out.
    • Document lessons learned and contribute to the continuous improvement of carve‑out methodologies and tools.
Qualifications

    Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 6+ years of experience in M&A, carve‑outs, or related roles, with a strong focus on data projects.
