Under the general supervision of the Project Management Support Unit (PMSU) Branch Chief, the employee performs a variety of administrative, analytical and technical staff services assignments to support the functions of the Program Project Management and Asset Management (PPM-AM) Division. The incumbent will provide assistance to the Deputy District Director (ODD) for PPM-AM with tracking documents, reviewing and proofreading technical reports and coordinating responses from PPM-AM to firedrills as well as other administrative assistance duties.

The incumbent will be a Cal-Card holder and designated purchaser for the PPM-AM Division. The incumbent must have knowledge in the use of computer applications, work breakdown structures, and processes related to the planning, scheduling, and statuing of projects in support of project management goals and objectives. As job knowledge and skill increase, so do the number of tasks, which involves multitasking and imposed deadlines.

The incumbent will and often under short notice, perform project related assignments or studies requested by management, incumbent will use data from several databases, including but not limited to PRSM, Quality Management Reporting System (QMRS), and AMS Advantage to gather information, develop spreadsheets and reports in support of project management activities. The incumbent must be able to work independently and provide recommendations for implementing, updating, and managing all tasks critical to the delivery of capital projects.

Incumbent may be required to work overtime during cyclical and/or peak periods.

Working Conditions

E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Stockton, San Joaquin County.
Multiple positions may be filled from this recruitment.
While at the base of operation, the incumbent will work indoors in a climate-controlled office under artificial lighting. Activities include, but are not limited to, sitting for prolonged periods of time while using the telephone, keyboard, and video display terminal. Keyboard use will be approximately 75% of the time. May require employee to work long hours, and vacations may be restricted during expected and/or unexpected peak workload periods.

Visiting the project site may involve exposure to vehicular traffic, construction equipment, dust, weather extremes, and walking on uneven surfaces and climbing slopes.
