Position Overview We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Principal Security Consultant with a deep specialization in the Tanium platform
. This individual is a driving force, leading the day-to-day delivery and growth of Solutions Consulting for large, complex organizations. This role serves as the subject matter expert (SME) for Tanium, bridging the gap between sales and delivery, and focusing on material business cases that generate significant, transformational work. The Principal Consultant will be responsible for defining and scoping complex client engagements (presales) and then leading the technical delivery of those solutions, including advanced customization like custom sensor creation.

This position requires building strong relationships with customers by understanding their needs, helping to shape their technology and business solutions, and bringing the best of our capabilities to address their most critical business issues.

Key Responsibilities As a Security Principal, you will provide strategic leadership and technical expertise in cybersecurity, guiding clients and internal teams in developing and implementing robust security solutions. You will drive innovation, oversee complex projects, and serve as a subject matter expert on cybersecurity practices and emerging threats.

• Solution Scoping & Definition:
  Work directly with clients and the sales team to accurately scope and define complex security service engagements, ensuring alignment with client needs, project objectives, and resource availability.
• Effort Estimation (LOE):
  Conduct thorough technical assessments to identify key deliverables, estimate project timelines, and draft accurate Levels of Effort (LOE) and resource requirements for fixed-fee projects.
• Statement of Work (SOW) Development:
  Develop and refine Statements of Work (SOWs), create SOW templates, and align scope and client needs to both existing service offerings and custom solutions.
• Proposal Support:
  Act as the lead technical resource during presales meetings, delivering presentations, answering detailed technical questions, and building client confidence.

Technical Delivery & Customization

• Tanium Implementation Leadership:
  Lead and execute advanced client engagements focused on the deployment, optimization, and operationalization of the full Tanium module suite (e.g., Interact, Comply, Patch, Asset, Discover).
• Custom Content Creation:
  Develop and test complex, high-performance Tanium custom sensors, packages, and custom Connect integrations to address unique client security and operational challenges.
• Subject Matter Expertise:
  Serve as the final escalation point for technical issues related to Tanium deployments, troubleshooting complex platform, agent, and network communication problems.
• Client Advisory:
  Provide strategic guidance to clients on leveraging Tanium for critical initiatives like vulnerability management, asset inventory, incident response, and compliance reporting (e.g., CIS Benchmarks).
