Overview
Immediate opening in Valencia, CA Corporate Office for a Human Resources Manager. The primary function of this position is to manage the administration and operational needs of the Human Resources Department as well as assist the Chief Human Resources Officer with various department projects and functions.

- Manages staff within HR Department as depicted on departmental organizational chart
- Interviews, selects, ensures orientation, training, and when necessary disciplines and/or discharges department personnel
- Confers with department management to identify human resource needs, job specifications, job duties, qualifications, and skills
- Manages recruitment programs to ensure adequate flow of applicants to fill specific job openings
- Chairperson of safety committee and suggestion committee
- Manages workers compensation and LOA programs. Communicates regularly with employees, workers compensation insurance company, industrial medical clinic, and attorneys as needed
- Administers performance review program
- Handles employee relations issues
- Collaborates with Chief Human Resources Officer on creation of company policies and procedures
- Travel as required
- Provide training as required on various topics
- Develops and initiate development plans for staff
- Ensure optimum utilization of HRIS system for increased efficiency within the department
- Miscellaneous projects as assigned by Chief Human Resources Officer
- College degree or equivalent work experience preferred
- Minimum of 7 years human resources experience with at least 4 years in an HR Management capacity
- Knowledge of state and federal laws regarding employment and general personnel practices
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
