We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team in CA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the weekly payroll for our California-based employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with state and federal regulations. This role requires proficiency in Excel and a strong understanding of payroll processes within the construction industry.

The responsibilities include:

Processing weekly payroll for all California employees, ensuring timely and accurate payments.

Maintaining and updating employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and pay rate changes.

Calculating and processing deductions such as taxes, benefits, and garnishments.

Ensuring compliance with payroll regulations and company policies.

Preparing and distributing payroll reports to management.

Addressing payroll discrepancies or issues.

Collaborating with HR and accounting departments for seamless payroll operations.

Utilizing Excel for data entry, analysis, and reporting.

Qualifications include proven experience as a Payroll Specialist, preferably within the construction or Oil & Gas industry, strong knowledge of California payroll laws, proficiency in payroll software and Excel, and strong communication skills.

Experience with Viewpoint ERP System
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Customer service experience
Multi-state payroll experience
