Job purpose

The HR Assistant supports the HR Manager with recruitment, onboarding of talent, and employee record keeping at K-Five Construction.

Duties and responsibilities
  • Enter, track and update all employee information into multiple software systems
  • Initiate recruiting processes by posting jobs, reviewing resumes, and scheduling and conducting phone interviews
  • Lead the onboarding process by communicating with new hires, preparing all related paperwork, and delivering the onboarding meetings
  • Review and track all employee benefits including 401k, health, dental, LT disability and supplemental program
  • Maintain the HRIS portal
  • Attend various job fairs in the area
  • Assist with new hire and annual open enrollment for all benefit offerings
  • Any additional tasks or duties assigned
Qualifications
  • The ideal candidate has 1 to 3 years of relevant human resources experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or comparable combination of education and experience
  • Exceptional attention to detail; high value on confidentiality, integrity and ethics
  • Ability to manage workflow of seasonal increase in employees and required deadlines and requirements
  • Strong level of knowledge in Microsoft Office products
  • Professional, positive and supportive demeanor
  • Ability to tactfully interact with all levels within the organization
