Director of Human Resources

Compensation: $130,000 – $160,000

We’re looking for a Director of Human Resources to guide the overall HR vision and day-to-day operations for a mission-focused organization. Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, you’ll play a key role in fostering a positive, people-first culture, driving strategic talent initiatives, and ensuring our HR practices are compliant and forward-thinking.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead, inspire, and support the HR and recruitment teams.
• Manage the full spectrum of HR functions, including hiring, onboarding, performance management, learning and development, compensation, and benefits.
• Serve as a trusted resource on employee relations, workplace matters, and investigations.
• Create and implement policies and programs that strengthen engagement, retention, and organizational performance.
• Advance diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies throughout the organization.
• Oversee compliance with employment laws and uphold HR best practices.

What You Bring:

• 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in leadership roles.
• Proven ability to shape workplace culture, manage organizational change, and elevate team performance.
• Strong proficiency with HRIS, applicant tracking, and performance management systems.
• Excellent communication, judgment, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Prior experience in the nonprofit sector is required.
