Position Summary
The Housekeeping Room Inspector ensures the housekeeping program operates successfully to ensure clean, orderly, and attractive conditions. This role will plan and implement training procedures for proper room turnover with associates. This position directs and inspects the cleaning of all assigned areas in accordance with Big Cedar Lodge procedures and standards.
Essential Functions- Conducts daily inspections of guest rooms.
- Records all relevant information and maintenance related repairs or issues in Hotsos.
- Ensures the highest cleanliness standards are maintained.
- Helps correct any cleaning, sanitizing, disinfecting deficiencies that are found during inspections.
- Helps train Room Attendants on the proper ways to clean and present guest rooms.
- Moves Room Attendants around to ensure all arrivals are cleaned and inspected by or before 4pm.
- Ensures proper inventory is in the rooms.
- Conducts weekly inventory of supply storages and creates supply order to be turned into the Manager.

- Preferred Degree:
High School Diploma or Equivalent - At least 1 year experience as a Housekeeper/Room Attendant preferred in Hotel or Resort environment
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work with little supervision, maintain a high-level of performance and follow standard operating procedures
- Adaptability - Ability to effectively adjust to major changes in work tasks or the work environment.
- Building Trust - Ability to interact with others in an honest, fair and respectful way; giving others confidence in one's intentions and those of the organization.

- Occasional computer work and sitting.
- Performs duties within scope of general company policies, procedures, and objectives. Analyzes problems and performs needs assessments. Uses judgment in adapting broad guidelines to achieve desired result. Regular exercise of independent judgment within accepted practices. Makes recommendations that affect policies, procedures, and practices.
