Day Shift | 5x8 Hours
Work Schedule:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday – 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
Wednesday, Friday – 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Ochsner Health is seeking a Travel Pediatric Physical Therapist (PT) for an outpatient therapy setting in Raceland, Louisiana. This role focuses on delivering rehabilitation services to infants, pediatric, and adolescent patients with developmental and neuromuscular conditions.
The Physical Therapist will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, implement therapeutic interventions, and collaborate with families and healthcare professionals to support optimal physical development and functional independence.

The facility provides specialized pediatric therapy services and works closely with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive rehabilitation care.
- Infants
- Pediatric patients
- Adolescents
Patients treated may include those with:
- Developmental delays
- Torticollis
- Brachial plexus injuries
- Toe walking
- Cerebral palsy
- Spina bifida
- Scoliosis
- Neuromuscular and mobility disorders
- Perform initial evaluations and reassessments for pediatric patients
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals
- Provide therapeutic exercises and mobility interventions
- Monitor developmental milestones and progress
- Implement individualized rehabilitation programs
- Educate families on home exercise programs and treatment goals
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record system
- Ensure patient safety and appropriate therapeutic interventions
- Minimum 1 year of Pediatric Physical Therapy experience
- BLS Certification
- Active Louisiana Physical Therapist License
- Experience in Outpatient Pediatric Therapy preferred
- Experience with Epic EMR system
- Experience with early intervention programs
- Strong pediatric assessment and developmental therapy skills
The ideal candidate should demonstrate experience in:
- Pediatric rehabilitation and mobility training
- Developmental milestone assessment
- Therapeutic exercise and strengthening programs
- Adaptive equipment and orthotic support
- Neuromuscular rehabilitation
- Patient and family education
- Pediatric safety and injury prevention

Orientation: 40 hours
One pre-approved time off request allowed
First-time travel therapists are accepted
Upon accepting the assignment, therapists may be assigned to an emergency response team during severe weather or emergency events. Team members may be required to remain onsite or assist as part of the relief team until the event has passed.
