Sterile Processing Instrument Lead - Nights

Overview

Mercy is seeking a Sterile Processing Instrument Technician Lead. Under general supervision, the role follows robust processes in Decontamination, Processing and Sterilization by cleaning instruments and equipment, inspecting, function testing and assembling instruments for High Level Disinfection or Sterilization. The Technician must follow Manufacturer's Instructions for Use and hospital policies, maintain documentation on logs or computer systems, prioritize instrumentation for processing, answer telephones and dispatch instrumentation, equipment and supplies, and perform duties consistent with Mercy’s Mission, Values, and Service Standards.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Full-Time | 10:00pm - 6:30am (40 hours/week)

Eligible for $3,000 Sign-On Bonus if CRCST Certified.

Education:

• High school graduate or equivalent

Experience:

• Minimum 18 months experience in Sterile Processing or 1600 hours of hands-on experience in Sterile Processing.

Certifications:

• Maintain CRCST or CSPDT Certification through HSPA or CBSPD by completing required CEU hours.

• Recommend obtaining additional Sterile Processing Certifications of CIS, CER &/or CHL.
