Clinical Therapist for Early Psychosis Intervention Clinic - Part-Time

We are looking for a skilled clinician with experience and passion for severe mental illness to provide behavioral health assessments, therapeutic services, crisis intervention, and/or other identified clinical services appropriate to stabilize and improve functioning of clients experiencing their first-episode of psychosis at the Early Psychosis Intervention Clinic-NOLA.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Knowledge of the fundamentals of first-episode psychosis interventions
- Ability to provide clinical services including behavioral health assessments, individual psychotherapy, family and group therapy sessions
- Ability to conduct psycho-educational groups for clients or family members as deemed appropriate, as well as learn different group therapy modalities when appropriate
- Ability to provide of crisis intervention services to the client and/or family
- Ability to provision of consultation and support to service providers (i.e. school staff, case managers, etc.)
- Ability to develop individual educational/employment goals, defining steps and timelines towards reaching those goals
- Ability to provide outreach to hospital emergency departments, psychiatric hospitals, developmental disabilities service providers, PCPs, behavioral health service providers, and Mobile Crisis service providers to inform them of FEP services
- Case Management services as required to link clients to needed services beyond those offered by the agency
Education and/or Experience
- Master’s Degree in either counseling or social work
- Two years of clinical experience beyond graduate school
- Licensed in the State of Louisiana with an LCSW or LPC
- Experience working with children and adolescents
- Experience in the mental health evaluation of adolescents and young adults
- Experience with psychotic disorders
This position is classified as "exempt, salaried" and is assigned to pay grade 26.
