CT Technologist is a highly skilled professional who uses specialized computerized x‑ray equipment to produce cross‑sectional images of human anatomy which aid radiologists in diagnosing a wide variety of diseases and disorders.
Other Qualifications Required- Ability to communicate clearly in both oral and written forms using the English language.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from residents, patients, physicians, peers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

- High School Diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED).
- Current BLS.
- CT Technologist certified.
- Satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic technology training in an approved school and ability to meet requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- 3 years of experience.
Heavy lifting: up to 100 lbs maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 50 lbs. Must be able to stand, stop, lift and walk without restrictions.
Physical Requirements- Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive motions (e.g., pipetting).
- Sometimes it requires lifting and moving lab equipment (up to 50 lbs).
- Physically assist patients onto examination tables, which may involve lifting or repositioning.
- Hold or manipulate imaging equipment that can weigh 25–50 lbs.
- Operate head or body x‑ray scanners which create a computer‑generated cross‑sectional image, commonly called a CAT (Computed Axial Tomography) Scan.
- Responsible for educating and preparing patients for their examinations.
- Provide patient care that is essential to the performance of a variety of procedures (e.g., contrast IV, oral and rectal, and checking GFR for all patients receiving contrast).
- Take patient medical history before exam.
- Position patients so desired anatomy will be demonstrated.
- Determine and set appropriate technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology.
- Assume responsibility for the safety, mental and physical comfort of patients.
- Mandatory on call for ER exams or Stat exams Sunday to Saturday; our facility is 24 hours.
- Prepares and maintains records and files as directed (clipboard log, Care Vue, Putty, superbill, orders).
