Position:
Caregiver (Caregiver role in the Almond Heights community)

Shift: Fri & Sat 10:00pm-6:30am

Compensation:
Pay typically $19-$21/hr (as stated in the job posting)

Requirements:

• Age 18 or over, or have the proper work permit and work authorization documentation
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Nurses Aid certification preferred
• Current first aid certification
• Background clearances as required by government regulations
• Health screening and negative TB test results (within last 6 months or within 7 days of employment)
• Prior caregiving experience preferred; on-the-job training available for candidates with the right attitude
• Ability to read and speak English; ability to follow oral and written directions
• Ability to interact effectively with people of different ages and backgrounds
• Must meet and maintain all state-specific regulatory requirements

Physical Demands:
Must be mobile and able to perform the physical duties of caregiving, including lifting up to 40+ pounds and pushing up to 150 pounds unassisted; ability to kneel, squat, reach overhead, and bend.

Our stunning community at Almond Heights is seeking a Caregiver to join our team of senior living heroes.

Essential Job Duties (Include % of time for each responsibility):

• Respond to resident needs promptly and kindly while maintaining each resident’s self-respect, personal dignity, personal safety and confidentiality (50%)
• Read and follow care plans to ensure proper care is provided (10%)
• Assist residents in daily living activities including bathing, dressing, hygiene, meals, activities, and continence needs (20%)
• Provide assistance at mealtime with selecting meals, serving, eating, clearing, and delivering room trays as needed (3%)
• Transport residents as necessary, following safety techniques (3%)
• Perform regular safety checks on residents (1%)
• Encourage residents to participate in daily activities (1%)
• Lead residents in meaningful activities (3%)
• Clean, complete laundry, and assist with other community activities as required (1%)
• Manage oxygen equipment per physician orders (1%)
• Chart and document appropriate information and report changes to a supervisor (4%)
• Respond promptly to resident alerts and emergencies as needed (3%)
• Ensure resident safety and comfort and assist with safety drills (1%)

Non-Essential Job Duties:

• Maintain a positive and professional image aligned with MBK core values
• Encourage teamwork through open communication
• Demonstrate effective time management to complete assignments daily per shift
• Display tact and friendliness with residents, families, and guests
• Adhere to MBK policies on meals, breaks and rest periods
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership
